Ujoy Merc Storia: Choose the Suitable Rune for Yourself

Ujoy has released the OBT version for the anime themed mobile RPG Merc Storia which has previously drawn many players’ attention during its release in both Japan and Taiwan. In order to provide more information of the game to fresh players, Ujoy decides to review the rune system today, giving more suggestions to players thinking about which rune to choose.

Melee Defender Characters (Tank)

Considering that tank characters usually have a quite large amount of health points (HP), it would not be necessary to have Rune of Life on them. Rather, Healing Rune or Rune of Rapidity would seem to be more helpful in this case, of which the former recovers tank’s HP while retreating and the latter allows tank to move more quickly.

Melee Attacker Characters (DPSer)

In terms of attacking, the prior one should be Rune of Power which increases the attack ability. For those who have three slots, there are Berserker Rune, Rune of Fire, Rune of Light and Rune of Water for choice. Berserker Rune reduces the damage that DPSer takes and  increases the damage dealt. The other three are suggested to use depend on maps with different effects.

Distant DPSers

The consideration of runes for distant DPSers should depend on the whole squal that players have. If the whole efficiency of damage relies on distant DPSers, then Rune of Power and Berserker Rune should be the suggested choice. In the case that there are gunners or archers in squal, Penetrating Rune and Critical Rune would also be the choice, which allows multiple hits and increases the damage of critical hits.

Ujoy Chaos Combat: New Patch Now Live

Ujoy has released the latest patch for its 3D mobile ARPG Chaos Combat, of which the new features include extension of character and item level, Divine Wings and the unlock of higher gem level. Let’s take a look on them!

Both character and item level now can reach 100 instead of 90. With an improved max level, players are able to gain more bonus for each ability and it would be easier to beat those powerful monsters and bosses.

After previously releasing the CBT version for a few weeks, Ujoy has now proclaimed that the OBT version for its popular anime themed mobile RPG Merc Storia will be released next week!

Ujoy Merc Storia is a Japanese style RPG of which the feature includes characters designed in anime style, cute mascots and an interesting story background with a special worldview, which has caused many Southeast Asian player’s attention since its CBT.

There are seven classes and dozens of weapons and items available for choice. Each weapon has a specific effect in attack. Players can also make commands such as rush, attack and retreat. Characters in higher category (with more stars) would cast spells with more gorgeous effect and so would those rarer pets.

Cards (characters) can be cultivated and improved in three ways which are upgrade, evolve and compound. In addition, the inlay of gems and the mascot system make the game more fun in terms of simulation.

Ujoy Merc Storia Walking Through: Wake up From Your Dream

Is anime something we can only watch? After the release of Ujoy’s anime themed mobile RPG Merc Storia last Thursday, it could be more than that.

The story starts with an anime opening scene, showing pictures with subtitles introducing the story which is about pets and human. In the world of Merc Storia, there is a young person possessing the power that can make pets become virtuous. His power is considered as a sort of “healing” and that’s why the person is known as a “Healer”. He has a dream of creating a country where pets and human can live together equally and in peace. He has to complete his dream by fighting against those monsters in order to “heal” them. The first battle didn’t seem to be an easy one but with his buddies’ support, the enemies were finally beaten.

However, it really was a dream that this young person had been making while sleeping. Woken up by a girl placed herself in a bottle and named Merc, the game seems to make its true start. Clicking on screen to have both talking, which feels a classic Japanese style RPG, you will need to name the young person which is the role you will be playing in game and you will have your first card of companion, which is a 3-star card. Finally you will be given a pet which wants to give you a “Labradorite”. It means that the pet recognises you because you cured it.

Although the conversation was a bit long but you can skip it. You will be on your own after that. Buttons of Quest, Guild, Recruit and Menu are available at the bottom of screen and you can check it out.

Quests are raids that you can farm and where you get rewards from. In preparation, you can choose the difficulty and build up your squad. If you have already had everything ready, you can make the first quest start. Battle in game doesn’t require much control but to click on each character’s icon for casting spells. Switching to the pet panel allows you to use pet skills. Each hit on enemies will generate SP which will be spending characters’ and pet’s skills.

Clicking into the Guild session and you can search guilds. However, you won’t be able to create a guild until reaching level 20.

The Recruit session allows you to expand and improve your squad. There are currently two ways of recruit, spending either Diamonds or coins.

The previous achievement of Merc Storia in both Japan and Taiwan has proved the quality of the game and its gameplay is not disappointing. With a simple combat control, it’s not too hard for beginner to play. Because of the large number of characters for recruit, there are hundreds of ways to build up your squad. It’s been only 4 days since the game’s initial release and there are still a lot more to be discovered.
